Valley of the Moon Wines, by Madrone Estate
Valley of the Moon wines honor an important 75-year era when Italian proprietors Enrico Domenici and Henry Parducci grew grapes and made wines at the winery they called Valley of the Moon. We continue to produce Valley of the Moon Pinot Blanc Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon and Blend 41 from some of Sonoma County's best vineyards. Valley of the Moon wines are available nationally in restaurants and in wine stores.
Although Sangiovese is most famous as the only component of Brunello di Montalcino and the main component of the blends of Chianti and Montepulciano, among others, we have found that it also makes excellent wines in California's Mediterranean climate. This wine is stylistically true, expressing classic characteristics of strawberry, cherry and spice.

New Release! Named for the boughs of our Heritage Bay tree on the Madrone Estate, which is upwards of 450 years old, The Bough can be thought of as our ‘Winemaker’s blend’. This wine represents our effort to produce a seamless red blend from disparate and unique varietals.
Caramelized brown sugar, blackberries, bay leaves and tobacco complements a supple tannin structure and long finish.
Our Cabernet Sauvignon is infused with aromas of blackberries, bay leaf,
hints of white pepper and currants. A concentrated yet dense body is
highlighted by resolved tannins and hints of vanilla and spice.
